Business Development Manager – Manchester – £35k + £5k car + c£20k bonus
Digital agency with a retail focus is looking for a Business Development Manager with experience of ecommerce / digital / online sales to join their team.
Our client is a digital solutions provider to the retail sector. They work with fast-growing and big-name retailers, supporting their Executive and Digital teams by designing, delivering and supporting applications that drive sales growth across all channels. This covers desktop, tablet, mobile, native iOS and Android as well as instore kiosks and ipads. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for targeting new business via face-to-face meetings, conference calls, events etc. This role will be crucial in the sales process by building relationships with new clients and understanding customer’s needs. You will handle all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting to contract.
To be considered for this role, you will have a proven track record in business development / sales and be able to handle opportunity development activities, as well as follow up leads. You will ideally have worked selling ecommerce platforms/services into retailers, able to deal at board level. Finally, you will have a strong understanding of technical, cost, risk and the business implications of service solutions.
