Head of Content – Manchester – £50-58k
One of the top digital agencies outside of London is looking for a Head of Content to join their team, leading content strategy and management across a range of exciting clients.
You will be heavily involved in the development of content strategy and campaign ideas, in response to client briefs, and play a central role in pitching to win this work. You will oversee the ongoing development and delivery of content production and distribution strategy, while shaping the content offer of the agency.
You will manage the content team, ensuring output is in-line with client expectation and budget. You will provide leadership and direction, and manage performance of the team. You will coordinate outreach, research, content creation and SEO, leading by example through standards, systems and best practices. You will work closely with clients to set and measure content, ensuring that creative concepts are aligned to strategy. You will work with the in-house user experience and data analytics specialists to gauge content effectiveness and make recommendations based on these insights.
To be considered for this role, you must have a solid understanding of the fabric of the web and the ability to utilize distribution models, to have a strategic impact across multiple channels. You will have significant direct marketing experience in a content environment, with a deep understanding of technology. You will be able to demonstrate how best to optimize content to attract and engage users, and have fluency in web analytics tools, social media applications and monitoring platforms. Finally, experience of managing a team is essential.
