Marketing Director – Lancashire – £40-£45k
Well-respected and prestigious educational institution is looking for an outstanding, senior-level marketing candidate to join its high-performing external relations team.
This is a newly created role, the purpose of which is to ensure best practice in marketing and to achieve competitive advantage for the institution, in accordance with objectives set by the board. In addition to having general charge of Marketing, the Marketing Director will work closely with the Director of Admissions and Director of Development to ensure synthesis across the External Relations function.
You will be responsible for promoting the institution, such that sufficient enquiries are delivered to meet its recruitment targets; the delivery of internal marketing programmes to aid retention at key transition stages is also a key area of responsibility. The post holder will be responsible for brand management and communications across a variety of media, as well as for planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing marketing activity in support of aims and objectives.
The ideal candidate will blend outstanding marketing and communication skills with strong interpersonal, creative and analytical skills. You will ideally hold Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications, or a Marketing degree or equivalent. You will be a superb communicator, highly skilled in presentations, with excellent attention to detail and solid marketing planning and brand management experience. You will have a strong customer service mentality and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in both strategic and tactical marketing. Experience of working in education would be an advantage and team management experience is essential.
