Full-Stack PHP Developer – Manchester – £28-35k

Highly successful digital agency, based in Manchester city centre, is looking for a Full-Stack PHP Developer to join their team and support the Lead Developer across all large-scale projects.

You will thrive on the challenge of complex and innovative digital projects, working across multiple platforms. You’ll have a wide range of hands-on technical abilities, ideally combined with good communication skills and the determination to overcome whatever technical challenges arise along the way. Required Skills

* Responsive website development
* Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
* Experience with PHP & MySQL
* Experience with WordPress theme development and as a content management framework
* Experience with Linux as a command-line interface
* Experience with code versioning e.g. Gitlab
* Experience of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
* Experience of using industry standard social APIs e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Maps.
* An understanding of server side deployments
* Ability to be able to test the build and bug fix before handing over to the test team
* Comfortable at writing own developer plans and hitting delivery deadlines

Desirable Skills

* Experience with writing custom WordPress plugins

* Knowledge of Google Analytics including the setting up of tracked actions
* Experience with MVC JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular/React JS and new JavaScript standards such as ES6 & ES2016
* CSS scripting frameworks (e.g. SASS/SCSS)
* JavaScript task-runners (e.g. Grunt, Gulp, Bower, Node.js)
* Advanced knowledge of PHP to build REST API applications
* Ability to write technical specifications as required

Communications Manager – Leeds – £24-30k

Artisan and craft brewery, based in Leeds, is looking for a Communications Manager to oversee PR and social media strategy for the brand. An interest in craft beer is a must.

Working alongside the Marketing Director and a Marketing Executive, you will oversee all PR and comms, including social media, blogs and outreach. You will work with senior management to put together a long-term comms strategy to enhance the brand and deliver rapid growth forecasts to match those already achieved for years to come. You will be proficient across all social media platforms and have experience of email marketing/CRM campaigns (ideally MailChimp). You will be able to communicate at all levels and with all audiences – from Press and investors to consumers and fans. You will be equally happy working with both external comms and internal/stakeholder comms.

To be considered for this role, you must be an experienced PR/comms professional, with at least two years’ experience – whether that is agency-side or in-house doesn’t matter too much, but you must have consumer communications experience (candidates from B2B backgrounds will not be considered). You will have demonstrable social media strategy and management experience and really champion the channel as the valuable communications tool it is.
