Web / SEO Content Writer – Chester – £17,500 + bonus and benefits

eCommerce travel company, based in Chester, is looking for a Web Content Writer, with a good understanding of SEO to join their marketing team.

You will be responsible for creating optimised descriptions for the company’s websites and other third-party sites. You will create unique, engaging copy that is both optimised for search engines and informative for their customers. It is essential that you have a natural flair with written content and a strong understanding of SEO content writing.

You will use a variety of techniques to discover and analyse potential keywords, with which to optimise written website content, to ensure the company’s listings achieve the best possible rankings in organic search results. This is a junior role but you will have knowledge of MS Office packages and experience using content management systems, and a solid understanding of SEO best practises. Previous experience within a content writing/SEO role is a must. Any experience of Google Analytics would be a distinct advantage, as would a Creative Writing/English/Journalism degree.

PPC Manager – London (Richmond) – £28-35k

Integrated marketing and advertising agency, based in Richmond is looking for a PPC Manager to join their search marketing team.

Reporting into the Head of Paid Search, you will be responsible for developing and agreeing the right PPC objectives, goals and KPIs to tie in with client business objectives. You will manage budgets, ensuring that monthly spend is on target, and be responsible for setting up and running PPC campaigns on a variety of search engines and platforms, including Google, Display, Bing, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You will lead on the campaigns, including implementation and reporting on activity (both internally and to clients), working closely with the client services team. You will work alongside SEO Managers and delegate to search analysts and copywriters.

Whilst your priority will be ensuring the wellbeing of your team, you will also work closely with computer vision developers, graphics team, backend team, product manager, dev-ops manager and product designer. Effective communication skills are essential.

You should be comfortable leading and mentoring a team of developers, managing the quality of the code and implementing agile processes, tools and workflows to ensure developers are working as efficiently as possible.

The role requires the following skill set:

* Experience with vanilla JavaScript Understanding of W3C standards, coding best practices and CSS preprocessors (SASS).
* Experience with NodeJs as a build tool, and the usage of Node based applications such as Gulp, Webpack and Babel.
* Unit and functional testing are second nature to you.
* An appreciation of Object Oriented programming principles and / or functional programming techniques.
