PR & Internal Comms Manager – Manchester – £43-48k
Well-respected housing charity, based in South Manchester, is looking for a PR and Internal Comms Manager to join their marketing and customer experience team.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will manage the delivery and development of the PR and Comms Plan, ensuring that goals are met and exceeded. You will manage proactive and reactive press coverage for the company’s brands and its leadership team. You will produce PR content for both B2B and B2C press, overseeing content production for outreach (working alongside a Content Manager). You will also work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure an optimised flow of content on social media. You will oversee customer communications, applying brand tone of voice and ensuring all comms are well-planned and timely. You will manage award entries and support management meetings, events and conferences with relevant content.
On the internal comms side, you will develop a new internal communications approach, to include a strong narrative based on corporate objectives. You will implement a new leadership communication programme and update all current channels (with a particular focus on reaching non-office-based employees). You will identify and own problems, working with the right people to solve them quickly, while always working with the wider marketing team to ensure a collaborative approach and consistent message.
To be considered for this role, you should have experience of working at pace, managing multiple brands and preferably with agency-side experience (if not, then experience of working as a journalist). You will have considerable experience of managing PR and comms plans, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. You will have excellent news sense, with strong writing and editing skills, as well as a familiarity with media databases, forward features and press request tools (such as Kantar and Cision).
You will also have considerable experience of managing an internal communications programme, delivering through a variety of channels, using engaging and creative content. You will be experienced in measuring and analysing the success of internal communications and to align communications with corporate objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a very worthwhile organisation in an autonomous, busy and hybrid role, with the support of a highly talented marketing and communications team.
