Traffic / Project Manager – Manchester
PR and communications agency, based in central Manchester is looking for a Traffic / Project Manager, with relevant agency-side experience to join their team in a newly-formed role.
You will have at least 5 years’ experience within a similar role within a creative agency environment. You will be exceptionally organised, able to multi-task, calm under pressure and a figure of authority, with experience of overseeing the work of at least 7 people. This studio is in its infancy, and is involved predominantly in design and digital marketing projects. The agency is now in need of an experienced project manager to come in and help them develop processes to filter work through the studio more effectively and efficiently. You will not be involved in any hands-on creative work – you must be someone who is used to organising workloads, managing processes and resources, and helping people stick to deadlines. You will ultimately be the hinge between the more traditional ‘PR agency’ side and the newer design, web and digital marketing side.
To be considered for this role, you will have agency-side experience and a demonstrable understanding of design and digital. You will be an excellent influencer with a strong will, able to ensure that deadlines are met. You will be good at dealing people and clients who want things ‘now’, and always be able to give a true snapshot of where all projects are up to. You will not be client-facing, although you will deal with almost every team within the agency, so strong communication skills are a must. Any formal project management training/qualifications (Prince2, Agile, Waterfall etc) would be distinctly advantageous.
