Business Development Manager – Chester – £25-35k + commission

Highly-respected digital marketing agency, based in Chester, is looking for a Business Development Manager from a recruitment background to join their sales team, concentrating on winning new accounts.
Reporting into the Sales Manager, alongside another BDM and a BDE, you will be responsible for following up on leads presented to the agency and helping potential clients to understand the value a partnership would bring to their business. Clients rely on the agency to provide strategic insight and advice – and that starts with the very first contact they have. You will make initial calls, write proposals, lead on pitches and negotiate partnerships. You will be targeted on a monthly quota of closed business and will be expected to log all communication within the company CRM system. The agency deals predominantly with digital marketing – web design and build, social media, search marketing and inbound marketing services. You will be expected to understand these services and be able to sell them, consultatively, to marketing managers and directors within prospective clients (full training will be provided).
To be considered for this role, you will be comfortable with sales targets and have some sort of recruitment background (ideally within the marketing or technology sectors). You will have strong client-facing skills and be able to self-motivate. You will have at least three years’ experience and have demonstrated a history of achievement. Finally, any experience or knowledge of HubSpot would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
