Head of Sales – Chester – up to £65k base (OTE £100k)
Highly successful technology consultancy is looking for a Head of Sales to join their board, overseeing a team of business development and account management professionals and taking responsibility for meeting the financial targets of the business.
Reporting into the CEO, you will oversee a team of up to 10 people, split between client services and business development. The team has some excellent talent but is under-performing and needs a strong and experienced sales manager to lead and coach them. You will analyse current output against targets and identify the key issues – whether that is performance-based, or process-based. You will rectify these issues, creating a smooth sales process and ensuring you have team who are capable and accountable for their individual performance.
You will be a strong sales person, ideally with a background in digital, marketing or technology consultancy. You will have spent your career within consultative, B2B sales and have managed sales teams, taking accountability for their improved performance. You will understand how sales teams work and the processes needed to get the best out of them. You will be a strong trouble-shooter, able to identify issues and resolve them accordingly. Finally, you will be able to grasp technology- and marketing-based concepts, understanding how they can be sold, upsold and cross-sold to an already impressive clientbase.
